History: Old Glory Ranch has been owned by Suzanne and Charles McCord since 1984. In 2002, additional acreage was added and the ranch now totals over 2,200 acres with nearly 2 miles of waterfront on the Blanco River slicing through the property. Stately Oaks, the emerald Blanco River and breathtaking views of the hills capture the essence that has become known as the Texas Hill Country.
With the architectural application of the Chapel Hall design being provided by Sam Bebeau, a Dallas architect, and continual architectural contributions and construction expertise spearheaded by Ron Balderach, Balderach & Company of Austin, the edifice of an old country church came to fruition during the construction phase.
Suzanne McCord: With her lifelong friend and business partner, Laura Weems, an interior designer from Louisiana, created the design concept for Chapel Hall. Construction of the innovative and flexible special event facility began in 1999, with completion in 2000. Chapel Hall is designed to fulfill the needs of many different ethnic and professional groups. With its many architectural antiques and decorative items, Chapel Hall is the ideal location for Texas hill country weddings, receptions, corporate events, gourmet dinners, family reunions, dances, musical events and business meetings.
Gina McClure: After nearly 30 years in the newspaper industry with a strong background in graphic design, management, non-profit organizations, social media, sales and marketing, the opportunity to implement those skill sets into a new and exciting direction came along with Old Glory Ranch in the Fall of 2009. Since that time Gina has worked directly with many clients and looks forward to executing memorable events for each and every one.
Liz Danna: Handling the bookkeeping and accounting is just a tiny portion of what Liz has brought to Old Glory Ranch. She has been instrumental in many facets of the development of what has become the Texas Hill Country’s premier event venue. Her vast knowledge of the business and ranch operations has been proven to be invaluable on many occasions.
OGR Event Staff: You won’t find any better, anywhere! We take great pride in our experienced staff members, many of them having worked events since the opening of Chapel Hall in 2000. All are TABC certified, handle themselves professionally, and are friendly and accommodating to our clients and their guests. They are also a big reason Old Glory Ranch receives kudos from so many of our clientele following their event.
